According to the Digest`s Editorial office opinion, the main events of the August 2023 in Russian pharmaceutical industry are:

- a pharmacy in Moscow was selling medicines stolen from hospitals. Where do stolen cancer drugs come from in the capital and why is it difficult to punish for their sale;

- The Ministry of Health approved general pharmacopoeia articles establishing requirements for the medicines quality;

- WHO recommended to strengthen surveillance in the context of an increase in the incidence of Covid;

- the procedure for the release of prescription drugs will change from September 1 for online salers;

- the government has allowed the treatment of female infertility with off-label drugs.
