According to the Digest`s Editorial office opinion, the main events of the October 2018 in Russian pharmaceutical industry are:

- the proposed "double" marking reduces the competitiveness of Russian medicines;

- the Russian government is ready to import medicines without the permission of brand owners;

- Russian Pharmacy Union asks to penalize the largest Internet site for online sales of medicines;

- in 2017 the Russian Health Supervisory authority identified more than 1 million substandard medical devices;

- in the Belgorod region police identified counterfeit cancer-medicines.
